Remote Learning

If your child is required to self-isolate for any length of time or in the event of a school closure, we will provide them with remote learning.

Our Remote Learning is offered through Microsoft Office, using the OneNote App. Watch the videos below for support on how to access OneNote for the first time and how to navigate the platform.

  • Remote learning tutorials Remote Learning Part 1 - Accessing OneNote for the first time and logging in. These videos have been produced by Mendip Green, part of the ELAN academy

  • Using OneNote Remote Learning Part 2 - How to navigate the OneNote platform and the different resources that may be available to the children

  • OneNote in Year 1 and 2 Remote Learning Part 3 - A tour and demonstration of OneNote for Year 1 and Year 2 children.

Usernames and Passwords

All children have a unique username and password to access their classes remote learning through Microsoft OneNote.  This is on the inside cover of the exercise book, which has been sent home.

All usernames follow the same format: firstname.surname@locking.extendlearning.org

If you need help to access the username or password, email the school office on: office@locking.extendlearning.org

The information published in the Remote Strategy document below is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils and parents or carers about what to expect from remote education if local restrictions require entire cohorts (or bubbles) to remain at home. For details of what to expect where individual pupils are self-isolating, please see the final section.
