School council

'Our Voice Matters'

The school council is made up of voted representatives from each class from year 1 to year 6. At Locking we learn about 'British Values' and 'Democracy'. Taking part in a school election to vote for our school council is an important step in understanding about democracy. 

The school council meet every term to share ideas and discuss fund raising ideas. Sometimes Mrs Simpson gives tham a special task such as designing the school Christmas card which is sent out to the local community. 

Last year we worked hard to fund raise for new playground markings, which has improved our playground environment and offers all children new games to play. We have also organised and run the VERY successful Locking's Got Talent which will be back in 2026!
